For me, I have this notion that blogs are more on a personal matter.
Upon searching the acceptable meaning of blog, it says that – Blog (a contraction of the term weblog) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.
Although there are several types of blog like Corporate blogs, Blogs by Genre (travel blogs, fashion blogs, etc.), by media type and by device type, Personal blog is still in number one.
So, I guess it follows that post on blogs would be nice if they are from first hand experience of the blogger. In ordinary conversation, frequent use of “I†is a turn –off, it makes you appear too self-centered but in blogging using “I†is ok, it makes your post have a more personal approach (e.g. I went to a paradise place called Bolinao last weekend…) . I guess that is the essence of blogging, sharing your own experiences in life to the netizens of the blogosphere.
